“I started this new arm of the business to focus on country estates, vineyards and horse studs. This is a unique concept and the reception so far has been very positive as there are many synergies between our high end residents in Palm Beach and Whale Beach. Many of my current clients have exclusive rural properties, or they want one,” Mr Nicholson said.

“This is a transformative lifestyle ambition for many wealthy people to own their own vineyard or country estate. We are selling a way of life. Everyone wants a nice wine with their name on it or an expansive piece of land to call their own.”

“Our focus is on a certain prestigious level of property with bespoke marketing campaigns. Ray White Rural (Estates and Vineyards) is very much a countryside, inland or coastal, focused prestige brand. We are looking at the hottest emerging lifestyle trend; inspired lifestyle luxury property with a move to rural estates and equestrian properties.”

Mr Nicholson, a pilot, is used to flying to see clients in the Hunter Valley and north to Mudgee said this new venture builds on his skillset as a Chairman’s Elite sales performer.

Noel’s wife Susan Nicholson, an organisational psychologist and business manager at Ray White Prestige, will manage the Rural (Estates and Vineyards) business. It’s a family affair with Susan’s brother John Howard, a barrister with four decades of commercial law experience in Asia Pacific, on board to close deals and get the job done.

“Our point of difference is that we are relationship focused. Residential property is all about houses, but with rural the intrinsic core value is in the land and the soil. Wine making and farming are a time honoured tradition, and we want to build on that craft,” Mr Nicholson said.

“I know many clients who would like to acquire a vineyard in the Hunter Valley as an example and together we can leverage the size and scale of the Ray White network but remain boutique and small and targeted in our approach. We are a family business and together our potential is limitless.”

Referrals like this have never been available across the Ray White Group and the message to existing Ray White residential business owners is that there’s a fantastic referral ability to work with this rural business together.

Ray White New South Wales CEO Tim Snell said Noel Nicholson and his team have seen an opportunity and chased it.

“This new strategic move has energised Noel and his team to a whole new level as they look to innovate and the full suite of solutions his diverse client base requires. This project connects and collaborates our rural and regional network across all of Australasia, providing exciting new opportunities network wide,” he said.

Stephen Nell, Managing Director for Ray White Rural and Livestock said: “We are delighted to partner with Noel and Susan to see this new business come to light. They are the right people for this opportunity. They are a wonderful family business working inside our greater family business at Ray White.”
