Managing director Melissa Bussenschutt and sales principal David Bussenschutt opened their first Ray White Yorke Peninsula office 13 years ago in Kadina. Now the opening of Ray White Minlaton brings their offices to five across the Yorke Peninsula.

Despite starting out as business owners with nothing but a mortgaged house according to Ms Bussenschutt, the couple have been able to grow their single office to cover the entire Yorke Peninsula. The powerhouse couple are also known for being the first office in the history of Ray White SA/NT to make Alan White Elite Business Leaders. The office was named the top ranked Ray White office internationally for customer satisfaction in 2021-22.

“We’ve been locals all our lives, we both decided to get into real estate and a few years later we were offered the opportunity to open our own Ray White franchise. Almost 13 years later and we would never consider going anywhere else,” Melissa said.

“We are the biggest real estate company on the Yorke Peninsula, now with five offices covering the entire Yorke Peninsula area including three council areas.

“The Yorke Peninsula Council, The Copper Coast Council and the District Council of Barunga West. Our business is long established with 27 staff across our five offices to better serve the communities we love and live in.”

Melissa said it has always been the couple’s dream to provide a local, trustworthy real estate service to their communities.

“Originally we were Ray White Copper Coast but as we expanded, first to include our Ardrossan office, it became obvious we needed to change our name as we were then servicing areas outside of the Copper Coast,” she said.

“With that growth came a new name – Ray White Yorke Peninsula. Yet this area is so large we wanted to be true to our name and offer a real estate service to the entire Yorke Peninsula.

“So we took on another office in Yorketown, Moonta and more recently Minlaton to support all Yorke Peninsula communities and people with their real estate needs.

“We have grown quite rapidly over the past several years, we have achieved our real estate dreams of being the biggest and most trusted agency on the Yorke Peninsula. We have been voted number one for customer service for the past five years and top five internationally.”

Melissa said they pride themselves on the service they provide to their communities and its people.

“We don’t see any more offices on the horizon. For now growth will be based around continuing to provide excellent service to our clients and communities,” she said.

“But most importantly nurturing and growing our amazing staff network and being united on so many internal levels. Like yin and yang, one does not work without the other and our staff are my yang.

David and Melissa will be taking over an existing office and said all the staff are staying and consider themselves very privileged to have them join the couple’s Ray White family.
