David Coombes, director and selling principal of Ray White Young and now Ray White Rural Harden, is soon to celebrate 30 years in real estate, 22 years as a business owner, and 12 years with the Ray White Group.

“While we have already been selling and managing properties in Harden for many years, we have had an increase in activity recently and are really excited to officially lay our roots in the region,” David said.

“We truly want to have that local presence, and have opened our shopfront in the beautiful and convenient main strip.”

The existing team of 11 at Ray White Young do ‘a bit of everything’ when it comes to real estate services, and have maintained clear market share over many years.

“We are really looking forward to growing organically in Harden and bringing on some friendly local faces to the team, just as we have done in Young,” David said.

David said that to open an office associated with such a professional group like Ray White will be very welcomed in Harden.

“I am very proud of the team that we have built, and we have established ourselves on our professionalism, great auctions and superior technology offering,” he said.

David described Harden as a classic old country town, on the railway line and reliant on the thriving rural and farming industry surrounding it.

“We generally specialise in properties around 100 acres, predominantly lifestyle rural properties,” he said.

“While the town is small, you still have all the services you need at your fingertips.

“The prices we are achieving in Harden at the moment are similar to the prices in Young. We haven’t seen a boom for nearly 20 years here and we don’t have the peak and troughs of the city markets.

“We are still very affordable here compared to other regional centers and the major cities. Like many regional areas though, our market and locals have benefited greatly from demand during and after the pandemic."

David said that the goal for the next few months is to really establish themselves as the local go-to property experts in Harden, and that having the existing relationship in the community is essential here.

“To put it simply, we want to keep creating great results for our clients and want to become more heavily involved within the Harden community,” he said.

Ray White Rural Managing Director, Stephen Nell congratulated David on the expansion into his second location, and the huge impact he has had on the group so far.

“David and his team have built such a fantastic business and have firmly established themselves as the go-to agency, so it is a natural progression for them to expand across to Harden,” Stephen said.

“We congratulate David and the extended Young and Harden family, and I personally can’t wait to see what he achieves in this next phase of his career of multi-office ownership.”
