Matt is well-known on the Gold Coast for his creative property videos, which he said helped make his clients’ properties standout from the crowd, create awareness and attract more buyer engagement.
“What the videos allow me to do is build a better quality rapport with buyers so our rapport at open homes and transactions is much more authentic than if I was just an agent wearing a slick suit and tie,” Matt said.
“If you enjoy your job then you will never work another day in your life and going through school, I was a drama student and really enjoyed the acting side so I decided to take that side of me into the marketing aspect.”
While Matt’s creative flare evokes a smile at the best of times, his results and achievements over the six and a half years in the industry have been impressive, successfully selling over $333 million dollars worth of real estate and now sees Matt in the top 10 Ray White salespeople across Australia in the 2022-23 financial year to May.
“As an agent, my key strength is understanding the responsibility at hand and investing in my own career. We are essentially in control of hundreds of thousands of dollars of someone's money they have worked their whole life for,” Matt said.
“The words that come out of our mouth and how to respond in conversation and more importantly negotiation is paramount. I invest heavily in upskilling myself, my team and now endeavour to do the same with my whole office; from a business perspective but also from a quality of life perspective .”
Matt is also committed to giving back to his local community and has pledged $200 from every sale through his business to charity.
“A big driving factor on why I took on business ownership was the unlimited capacity to help more people, whether that’s directly through myself, a member of the team or through the company as a whole. Business ownership will allow me to stretch my wings further and help more people,” he said.
“As a business owner, I have and will continue to bring a creative, highly skilled, fun and authentic approach to the Gold Coast real estate market and the industry as a whole. Being able to improve people's quality of life is my number one priority.”
